Range Bag Recommendations?

I'm in the market for a range bag. I was thinking about the NRA range bags, or one from Eagle Industries, or Wilson Combat since my 1911 is a Wilson. It would be for one gun only, casual shooting and maybe some IDPA if I get into that (just joined a club that does it).

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Re: Range Bag Recommendations?

I use this bag from 5.11 tactical.

Single Pistol case | Gun Cases | 5.11 Tactical

I keep my magazines unloaded, and buy my ammo at the range. works well for my use. I didnt want a big bag. and the zippers have locking rings on them

What do you do for carrying:
1. Eye and Ear protection?
2. Minimal cleaning accessories?
3. Etc..?

my muffs easily hug the case, i keep a small bottle of hoopes oil and my bore snake in a zip lock in one of the clip holders I wear glasses, and have approved safety glasses for work that i wear to the range. targets/backing boards are supplied at the range i go to.

I do have a larger case for travel (mountains, ect) that has a full cleaning kit and more items. I carry as little as possible to the range, and no ammo in case of getting pulled over. too much hassle (and almost impossible to get CCL in MD)

Re: Range Bag Recommendations?

I have been using an I-shot range bag for a couple of years. Versatile, holds plenty of capacity. Very satisfied.

Re: Range Bag Recommendations?

IMO, the best range bag doesn't advertise the fact that it is one (i.e, gun manufacturer names, firearms association logos, law enforcement insignias, etc.).

Something as precious and valuable as firearms (and its accessories) shouldn't be in a bag that has a "steal me" sign on it.
