Cleanable floor mats

The flooring of the FJ is supposed to be cleanable with a hose, but it has insulation under it, and if that gets wet there is no way to easily dry this.
PLEASE TOYOTA make a flooring that is actually cleanable!!

Re: Cleanable floor mats

I've been to a few companies that make the "sound deadening" pads for all types of cars and until some new technology comes out that replaces this, it will always be needed.

I swamped my montero in the Pine Barrens of NJ and pulled all of it out -carpet, sound deadening pads, and all- and herculined the entire interior.

That made it completely "hosable" but the truck was so loud that it sucked.

DO NOT hose out the FJ- just wipe it down with a sponge and soap. But no buckets or hoses of water.

yeah, and jstroud08 made the point that this has become a crazy long post about "hosing" out the FJ...

Re: Cleanable floor mats

The first stop before my K & N air filter was a Walmart and got some deep black rubber floor mats that claim to hold a gallon of water each and spot mirrors. 29 bucks I think. Got them because, well, just because.............

Re: Cleanable floor mats

I remember trying to talk my Ford Bronco buddy into getting the whole inside of his truck done with that bedliner that they spray on.We Lived near South Padre at the time and he was all ways moaning about the sand. I still think it sounded like a good idea.

Re: Cleanable floor mats

This is one of the many things that the original concept model of the FJ Cruiser had, but the production model didn't.
