I'd Like to Tell Toyota...This is for constructive suggestions to be made to Toyota regarding the FJ Cruiser. This is a flame free forum and heavily moderated.
I usually just read what everyone has to say on this forum. BUT after reading a little about the "POOR FJ PERFORMANCE" due to freezing washer fluid, I thought I'd just say, I live just outside of Roanoke, VA and we just got almost 2 feet of snow this past week and I've experienced GREAT performance out of my FJ. As a matter of fact the only thing that stopped me was other 4wd's and stuck snow plows BLOCKING THE ROAD. And I had friends say they didnt think the new MTR's I put on a couple of months ago would do very well in the snow, but my rig WENT LIKE A TANK!!! I just hope everyone else driving a FJ has had as much fun as I have..... And their wives just held on and mumbled OH SH*T under their breath, like mine.
P.S. I'd love to see some other FJ's packed in snow!!!

Here's mine after some of the snow we got in MA. It's kind of bizarre the way the snow collected on mine, with nothing on the roof but a huge drift on the hood. Guess it must have been windy that night...

Posted some of these in other threads, but I've got tons of pictures of my FJ and Byrdman's FJ in the snow. No questions it's a great snow and ice vehicle.

I agree, the FJ is a beast. When everyone was snowed in, I heard my wife say to some friends on the phone: "Don't worry, if you need anything, we'll come get you in the FJ."

The FJ is an absolutely fantastic winter vehicle and anyone who says otherwise frankly has no clue how to drive.
And yes, the GY MTRs make for a great, great snow tire. I'm astonished about the conditions they can conquer with ease.
I'm still running the stock tires that are not good in snow. Being in Crested butte colorado what you guys call a blizzard, we call a regular snow storm. We get feet at a time. Twice this season I have driven to denver in deep snow storms. I am amazed at how well the FJ drives in deep snow and ice. I definately do need a winter wipper but the stock isn't any worse than any other summer wipper. The awd is incredible. I'm very impressed with how well the fj tracks and stays on the road. I can only imagin how much better it wil be with a more agressive tire. To say the least I'm theroughly impressed.
one odd point to note. when in awd and some good wheel spin, I do get a strong burning rubber smell. My only guess there is the torsion unit heating up? only other thing it could be is the clutch but its not that kind of smell. Ive since learned to either go to 4 lock or low to keep from getting the smell which can't be good.
