I'd Like to Tell Toyota...This is for constructive suggestions to be made to Toyota regarding the FJ Cruiser. This is a flame free forum and heavily moderated.
But i would without a doubt take 4 wheel long travel anyday over solid axles.. (i can dream, right?)
mmmm...
And I'd agree with you there....that would be cat's ass....but it ain't ever going to come from a factory that way.

Ford F-150 raptor in 2010 will be that kind of...
"SVT looked first at the F-150's underpinnings, and scrapped most stock suspension parts. The most change came up front, where SVT added unique upper- and lower A-arms, a new tie-rod, and new half-shaft joints. All four corners also benefit from the addition of internal-bypass Fox Racing Shox, which increase stiffness as the suspension compresses to keep the truck from bottoming out.
Unless you're really flying over some desert terrain, we doubt that'd happen. The front suspension has a whopping 11.2 inches of travel, while the rear suspension has 13.4 inches. Coupled with the standard 35-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, the package should be more than adept at tackling boulders or landing a stratospheric jump."

That last part is utter marketing bull****. It will be an interesting vehicle to see....if it actually comes to fruition. I have a feeling if this bailout doesn't come through and the Big 3 are forced into a reconciliation.....their product lines are going to have to homogenize, which means scrapping speciality projects like this one.

I got a good laugh from that part too.
They actually had one in this years baja 1000. Not sure who raced it and how they got it or even how it did, I'll have look it up and edit that in.
But I agree I highly doubt it will make it to the show room floors with how everything looks right now.

here is a link to there race recap, its long so if you want the short of it, it got 3rd in class (class 8) with a time of 25:30 hours. Quick little comment, that is really good since it should really be in the stock full class, class 8 is almost a TT.
