Sell TT Edition Parts

After some "love" that my FJ received both from trail use and road debris flying up I decided that I wanted to replace my mirrors because of the chips/scratches. I figured while I was at it, I would just use the black TT edition mirrors that I have seen on a co-workers TT.

I called the Toyota dealer...they will not sell them. Any TT edition parts (even if they are the same as mine just different color) cannot be sold with the VIN of a TT Edition.

Is Toyota allergic to money??? Why would they care what color I got something in. I can understand (maybe) if your special edition has a special component that is not available on normal editions...but paint color?

This really is a non-issue, especially since you have a friend with a TT. All they need to do is give their VIN to the dealership and have the parts ordered. I was told they are just confirming it to Toyota if asked, but a TT owner can buy as much as they want without anybody caring. I bought an extra set of AT shifters to powder coat one black, which I would love to sell as soon as I can find them. The move from VA to Germany has misplaced a lot of stuff, those shifters being one of them.

I don't know if the auction is over, but I saw a complete set of TT black items in an Ebay auction a few days ago. Grill, mirrors, etc.

Call TRDParts4U (Vendor here) aka Toyota of Dallas parts. They sell them I believe. Also Sparks Toyota (also a Vendor here) FJ Trail Teams Parts!!! All Black of Course :-)

Believe me, the black ones scratch TOOOOOOO

I may do the above mod eventually.

Problem solved. Had mine for 2 years.

OOOOOOOOOOH! I like that idea. I took and old set of bumper wings and got brave with a rattle can. If they turn out well, I'll try that on everything else. Otherwise I really like this idea. Especially for door handles, mine are scratches and the paint is wearing a little bit. This would solve the door handle issue too.

I have a black mirror(painted) in the for sale section....driver side only if interested its ready to go....slap it on and be done with it. New TT black mirrors are like $400 a piece....I am selling mine for $100 shipped let me know if interested
