Production Version of Sliding Console Cover Now Shipping!

Hi all:

In case you missed it, my FIL has completed the testing and protos of the console cover, and is now a supporting vendor. The console covers are now officially on the market. Details below:

Finally I have some more pix of the three models of the console cover. All models utilize a hard anodized black pull handle.

Here is the "Urban" model using ABS with a matching textured finish for the Tambour door slats. It's tested at 23 lbs. of weight on it, and priced at $89.

The back and surrounding materials of the cover are common to all models as seen below.

The intermediate model "Borrego", uses satin anodized aluminum slats as shown below. It's been tested with 160 lbs. on it, and is priced at $129.

The high end model "Panamint", is built using black hard coat anodizing over a brushed surface for the Tambour door. This gives it a very elegant appearance. It also can handle 160 lbs., and is priced at $149.

In the close up image below you can see that rugged materials are used in the construction of the housing and surround.

Shipping and handling = $10 (include your zip)

Best way to order: email my FIL: dick at industrialforming dot com
or Credit Card info by Email or phone: (805) 658-3350 in CA

Please note that the factory is closed on Monday, Dec. 24th, through January 2nd.

Sandi

Thanks Sandi,
My Panamint will be here Monday, I'll do pics and a review on install ASAP. Really appreciate you and your FIL's efforts in providing us with what appears to be a very high quality, functional product. More to follow.

You are buying the model I was interested in originally, but after thinking about our two Westies stepping on the metal, I am now leaning towards the "base" ABS version. I am too afraid that our dogs will scratch the metal more versus the plastic. Any comments?

I'll let you know after the JRT gets through running all over it.
JRT= Jack Russell Terrier aka FJC Wrecker.

Loos good! I am interested in the "urban" model, and will probably place my order after the holidays. Was just wondering, how does this install, just drop in or is there something I am missing?

Drops in and attaches with heavy duty loop fasteners. Very fast, clean and easy.

My only comment is that metal is harder than plastic. Maybe there's something about the finish I don't understand though.
