Re: Nitto Trail versus Terra Grappler (pics)

Not really as much difference as I expected to see. I wish they would add a little more aggression to the sidewall of the Terra Grapplers. . .

Thanks for the post!

Doc-

That looks great.

I'd be really interested to know how those perform in wet slushy stuff and rain once everything thaws out.

The way things are going it might not be until June though.

Seriously though, keep us posted on the wet road performance of the Trail Grapplers. They are a very nice looking tire.

I like em'... they actually make a 37"X12.50 20" but no one seems to be for sure? or carry them... I hear they run silent on the Hwy... that would be a big + if your rig is also your daily driver

Thanks for the pics Doc. The Terra Grapplers do have a "balloon-like" appearance since the sidewalls are pretty smooth but I've come to like this. Both tires have their + and - but I can say that the Terras will handle nearly any condition except maybe deep mud.

Woodsman, is it only the more recently-produced Terras that have the lightning bolt pattern on the sidewalls? The ones I bought two months ago have them, but other I've seen from 2008 and early 2009 were a plain sidewall as you mention. In addition to the lightning bolts, mine also have two different types of black lettering, one on each sidewall. Here's what mine look like:
