Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

CALLING ALL PHOTOSHOP GURUS!!!!!!

if someone were to install BOTH a manik brush guard AND an aries bull bar in order to get 4 lights up front and set the rig apart, would that be uber-gay? or would it just be viewed as a cool mod done by a creative trailblazer?

if anyone could photoshop that configuration i, and a few others, would be eternally grateful. it will either verify in our minds that this may be a cool(ish) idea, or keep us from doing something stupid. either way.

p.s. if someone does this, make the bull bar black as well.

I went with the Manik, here's a link (pics of mine are on page 3 or 4 there). BTW, love it!

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

One (likely significant) concern about the Manik style guard is that in an accident it may fold down on the hood and increase damage to the hood and grill. The Ram guard attaches at the bottom to the frame and sits in front of the bumper. I am hoping (at least with deer) it will add protection to the FJ and her passengers.

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

Anyone know if the Aries/RAM Bull Bar will affect the airbags?

I'm no expert but I'd say it could.

The ARB appears to be the only bumper actually tested with the airbags.

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

it seems to be agreed upon by those in the know, that the airbag sensors are A: located on the frame, and B: operate according to rapid deceleration (inertia) and not impact. if that is indeed the case, i would say that no bumper and/or brushguard would affect airbag operation. i'd like to have it verified though.

bump for photoshop
