Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

I'm liking the Aries brush guard the more I look like it. Especially on silver and black it looks pretty sweet!

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

I received a call from the owner of KC Highlites today. They are going to borrow my FJ tomorrow to shoot pics with their light bar. I do'nt know if it is different from the bar on the first page of this thread or not. I'll try to run over there and get pics to post here.

Note that he only used 2 of the four light mounting locations...

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

These are photos of KC's light bar. It comes in black or grey/silver like the bumber details. The quality seems good. It has only two mounting tabs. Installation is simple. If you have a TRD skid plate you will need to remove it or modify (by cutting slots) to get them both to fit. I removed mine and KC is sending it to their manufacturer to make adjustments. I think the truck looks better without the skid plate though. KC gave me this bar, so I will leave it on until the Warn bumber arrives.brush-guard-light-bar-comparison-kc-light-bar-1.jpg

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

I have to say that I am tossed on this issue as well. IMO, the brush guards/grille guards that simply sit on the bumper look cheap...don't hate me, I'm just saying. I just dont see how it can really be functional. Light bars are cool, reminds me of old blazers/broncos and what not, but I want this to be an FJ. I think my favorite on the posts so far is the Aries, even though I'm not really a fan of most of their products("all show n' no go")...but there are other options though they all seem to be the same product...lol...
ecarboutique.com/fjcruiser (look at the black grille guard and compare it to the aries...lol)

I guess I will just buy the Rock sliderz first, and order the PIAA's, and sit and debate somemore over this issue....

Re: Brush Guard and Light Bar Comparison

I thought there might be some interest in this auction on ebay: It has one of the light bar's discussed in this thread.

I went ahead and ordered a Dakar light bar from Ebay. With shipping it came to $189.
