Factory Map Light Install Location?

If you have an '09 or '10 model year truck, I need your help. I have an '08 FJC and just bought the part for the factory map light. Can you please tell me the exact correct location to install? I need to know the distance between the rear edge of the mirror mount and the front edge of the map light bezel.

Thanks in advance!

Mark.

About 60 bucks from Sparks Toyota. Just arrived by UPS today. Will post pics when it's installed.

Re: Factory Map Light Install Location?

FWIW, Toyota installed it backwards.

I was the first to put this maplight in an FJ, and Toyota copied me but reversed the orientation.

I installed it the way it came in the 2005 Echo Hatchback, and personally I think it looks much better this way.

Check out the date on that thread. Well atleast we know Toyota listens and they read the forum.
