I would be careful if you go offroading as I have twice packed the skid plate holes with mud, but if you don't intend to do that it is the perfect location.

Looks good. Hopefully you are on road only. Someone mounted some like that on my old '93 truck. First time I took it off road I had dangling scraps of plastic with some chewed up wires attached. Either way nice work!

Pretty cool mod and you even took the damage potential into account. Good job, looks pretty sweet. Hmmm, makes me wonder if those projector style bulbs could be retrofitted into where the mirror lights are mounted. Probably not enough room though.
