What's The Purpose Of The Exhaust Tip?
I have one on my FJ and someone asked me that question and I really didn't know the answer, so could someone tell me what's
the purpose of the exhaust tip!

To make your exhaust look better so you do not just have a plain, possibly rusty pipe hanging off the back of your car.

I can answer this one: "TO BE the end of the exhaust pipe"
Okay, you want the truth? Esthetics. I know it's hard to handle.
Cheaper than chroming the entire pipe system like in the old days of cool - now you just think the entire system is chromed.
We don't need no badges.
