Headliner help

Can someone please tell me how much space (depth) there is between the headliner and roof in the area between the rear view mirror and the dome light. I'm looking at a maplight/sunglass holder assy. to put there.

I've had my roof liner out, so I'd guess it's about 1 1/2 - 2 inches. THere are a couple of crossmembers though.

Is it possible to tell where the crossmembers are by pushing against the headliner?

Re: Headliner help

Has anyone cut a hole in their headliner and if so, how difficult is it to cut?

I would think so. The first one is, oh, maybe about 12 inches behind the mirror. And the next is maybe 24 inches behind that?

Cutting it should be no problem. It's just kind of thin foam.

Re: Headliner help

That picture is very helpful. Do you have any more shots of the interior of the roof with the headliner removed, particularly in the A pillar area?

Trying to figure how to run a GPS antenna and roofrack light power. I am wondering if they have provided a holefor roofrack light power for the future airdam light option whose power socket is in the LH A pillar
