Tire cover

So what is it with the tire cover that sucks so bad??

I would NOT let them sell the vehicle to me with it on there. it is just hideous IMO.

I mean a small amount of cheese is OK but the tire cover is a bit much.

WOndering others opinion on the tire cover with the FJ and the tire tread marking.

I have not seen a single pic of any unit with the tire cover on.

Re: Tire cover

It's a good place to put stickers.

If you're so inclined.

Re: Tire cover

I can't have a tire cover, it would cover up my American Racing Tephlon.

it sure rattles when you close the door. I'm thinking of taking mine off. It came with the vehicle.

Re: Tire cover

i think there is an internal rattle to the rear door. Doubtless another crumpled can of Kirin fromthe assy line.

Re: Tire cover

I agree wholeheartedly. It was the first thing to come off of my truck.

+1

I told the dealer to keep the cover and credit me the $225 cost back into my side of the ledger sheet. WEll they said you can keep it and we'll credit you the $225 anyway. All told they let me roll out at just $300 over dealer invoice. Tax here in 'bama aint so much so no sweat there. I ripped the cover off before leaving the lot (can't be seen like that ) and it is up in the attic collecting dust.

Take the rear door panel off and dynamat the hell out of the outside body panel and the back of the plastic inside panel. Door closing is much quieter and solid sounding. The damn licence plate rattles still, since it's not screwed in at the bottom.
