Mounting License Plate w/ All-Pro Bumper

Any suggestions???? You guys realize it is the LAW!!!

I was thinking maybe those clips that attach to the roller fairlead but they want $30 bucks.

I was also thinking just drill some holes but I don't know where to position it without the damn plate getting tweaked while wheeling.

I would appreciate any suggestions (w/ pics too)

Re: Mounting License Plate w/ All-Pro Bumper

I have one of those clip things I had for the 4Runner.

http://pnw4runners.com/tando/mod29.jpg

I kept it in the rig, but never ran it from Feb. of '02 until July of '06.
That is right, I ran without a front plate in my state and never once got a looksee from the law.

I will carry this with me in the FJ when I get my ARB put on in a few weeks.

You could make one of these pretty easily.

I live in Ohio, but don't start on those *uckeyes. We follow ND. Ohio requires two plates. I went to NAPA Parts Store. They stock a universal frame which will fit most, if not all cars. I think they were $12.00 to $13.00. There are two small (Very Very Small) indents in the front bumper of the FJ which you poke out with a screw driver, then install the bracket. My works great!

He is talking about mounting it to an ARB bumper, not the stock one.

On my factory bumper the dealer just drilled two holes right into the plastic and ran two big sheet metal screws in.
Works for me for the factory one, and I have them under smoked plastic covers.

Just glad I live in a state (NC) where we don't have to ruin the look of the front of the vehicle to mount a plate.

Re: Mounting License Plate w/ All-Pro Bumper

Just get a couple of zip ties, run em thru the holes in the plate and then behind the lower rollers, pull tight and zowie, Done.......

The ARB comes with a seprate license plate bracket that you can use. The post says for an All Pro Bumper.

You can do this one.

License Plate Bracket

But you said you didn't want to spend the 30$.

Re: Mounting License Plate w/ All-Pro Bumper

Does not matter which bumper, as long as it has the roller fairlead on the winch, you can use the setup I have.
