ALLPRO Rear bumper installed on 2010 FJC with Back-up Cam

Alright, so I decided to take advantage of the Allpro's discount and purchased the rear bumper....However, now that I have it installed, per their directions I noticed one big problem...When I close the rear door with the spare tire on it, It will NOT close!? WTF??? It hits the bumper so much to the point where the rear door will NOT close... I'm running 285/75/17's .... I've tried to look up other threads with this same issue, but "flipping" the tire carrier is out of the question because of my reverse cam (and I'd like to keep opening my rear window) I was thinking a 2 inch spacer, but what kind? Any helpful suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance...

Without pics and looking at the bumper on the All Pro site it looks like the easiest thing to do would be to get a spacer. All Pro and Sprider Trax makes them. You could also probably flip the carrier but as you said your camera would be looking at the sky and if you wanted to fix it you would have to grind off the welds (think there are 3 small ones) and tack it back on facing the ground.

What wheels are you running?

I have the same bumper and same size tires, but mine closes just fine.

Re: ALLPRO Rear bumper installed on 2010 FJC with Back-up Cam

yea, I thought about grinding off the welds, but I don't weld or have access to a welder...The pics below show the install with and without the spare tire on the mount. I'd be able to close the rear door if I installed only the 2 top lug nuts, but the tire would shift and move when I open the door...

Fits nice and flush on the sides...

with the spare on...

This is as much as the door will close with the spare bolted down...

Your spare looks odd. Try flipping your spare tire mount. That doesn't look right, at least to me it doesn't.

Not an option....I have a reverse cam that I'd like to keep using...

It looks like it was installed wrong. The spare shouldn't be that straight up and down. If you don't want to weld, I don't know that there's much you can do.

What was installed wrong? The bumper or spare tire mount? I followed allpro's directions down to the tee and I've never removed or touched the spare tire mount....?
