Dupli-Color Textured Bed Armor for Bumper Wings

So I had previously blacked out my body parts last year with Rustoleum Satin black and it looked great. Over past year picked up some scratches from some light duty off road stuff and was about to touch up the bumper wings and spotted this stuff in auto store, Dupli-Color textured Bed Liner. Stuff looked real nice with a very fine texture to it. Not as rough as Line-X, but as pics show dries to a soft satin black fine grit. I love it and best of all it adheres to just about anything and is water based clean up. It has a rubber ingredient to it so it wont crack or chip. Anyway here are some pics below.

It dries beautiful after about 30 min but be careful comes out of can fast and real wet. My first coat on right side bumper was a mess as I held can too close and can was new and under max pressure. Second coat was better and third was perfect. Other bumper was a breeze as I got the hang of using this type of spray. It goes on very wet and looks scary but dries fast and rock hard. Can says can touch up anytime.

Looks very awesome!!! I saw some of that at the store too and wondered how it would work. But great job! It matches the stock OEM plastic super good!

Might have to apply this to my whole rear bumper.

That looks real nice. Did you also do the corner panel above the wing, or does the spray match that close to the factory plastic?

Thanks. No I only did the bumper wings and the small horizontal piece under the plastic "grill" on front bumper. Wanted to see how it looks. It is almost a perfect match to OEM stuff and the texture is real close too since the OEM plastic is not really smooth but slightly textured.

I was thinking the same thing. Rather have a Warn bumper but till I get an extra $1000, I may shoot it.

I also did my dash bezel with the same stuff too. It works great, especially sprayed from a distance. Bumpers I'd suggest doing the whole thing for consistancy.

Re: Dupli-Color Textured Bed Armor for Bumper Wings

That stuff is awesome!! I did the front wings, valence, bezel, small squares under the signals and trim piece on the leading edge of the hood when I had to replace my bumper cover (thanks wifey!). Also did the trim pieces I just put on my tail lights. Those were chrome but look much better with the bedliner applied. Now just waiting for the trim pieces for the front signals to make the long journey from Hong Kong so I can replace the Plasti-Dip on the fronts too.

One word of advice, make sure you allow it to dry sufficiently prior to re-installing if you remove the parts. I got a little impatient the first time I used it and installed too soon. Ended up with fingerprints when I pushed the parts into place. Touched up very easily though. Just sanded the edges of the imprint a little to smooth them out and reshot the area. Looks great!

I agree as to doing the whole shabang especially after seeing VikeFan experience below. Now that you guys have confirmed that this stuff works, I am going to save some $ for now and forego the Warn bumper and shoot mine for consistency.
