Custom Tool Box

Does anyone know of a custom tool box that would fit on the driver side tire hump? I would think, if it exists, it would be about the same size as the subwoofer.

I am looking for one.

Re: Custom Tool Box

off topic somwhat.
I saw an FJ40 modified with a huge custom toolbox in the floor of the rear tub. This could easily be done to the FJC (well not "easily"... there is body work, and the emissions canister woudl have to be relocated).

There is a LOT of room under the ass end of the rig; I am trying to think of what to do with it. Aux gas tank? gerry can carrier?

I was just searching for a pic of them, They used to sell aluminum tubs w/ the cargo area in the rear floor but they must have discontinued them. I looked at 3 or 4 sites that used to sell them and none of the have them up anymore. I was plannind on getting one of the tubs in the future for my 40, the only ones I saw right now were steel and about 5k compared to the aluminum for 2,200

Re: Custom Tool Box

the steel ones out of south america are supposedly stamped with the original toyota dies, sold to a company down there.

Re: Custom Tool Box

that looks right but there were some that already had them installed in the tub. I love the aluminum half doors they have, that will definitely be on my list

Re: Custom Tool Box

I have a tool bag that sits on the hump-just tied it to the cargo net tie downs above the fender well. Stays in place. The fitted metal boxes are nice, but haven't seen these for the FJ
