Front License Plate Solution (?)

So my state requires tags in the front and of course dealership puts them on with no bracket and within the span of 5 seconds the silver lip gets minor scratches from rubbing on metal

P'O'd I went to Wal-Mart and saw this product which was a mounting backing made of plastic

Bell Automotive: Product Details

I was amazed to see it worked; no metal on paint now - I'm going to foam line the bottom to add protection.

Anyone else try this?

Re: Front License Plate Solution (?)

I know I saw a TSB somewhere for the front License Plate... its suppose to be a foam piece that gets stuck on the front bumper where the LP makes contact...

Re: Front License Plate Solution (?)

Mine came with 3 or 4 foam strips in the glove box. Never used them. Used rubber bumpers on the back of the plate.

Re: Front License Plate Solution (?)

My plate has and is still scratching, there is always going to be a plate there, doesn't really make a difference if I'll never be looking behind the plate.
