Re: What color would you paint?

Changing the entire color of a vehicle is no small task...we were lucky since our vehicle was black. Meaning we were able to leave the under hood area as is and it did not scream that we did a repaint. To do it right, almost all of the interior has to come out as well.

If it were me, I would do a variation of VooDoo blue except as a matte finish like the car show concept vehicles. Then you would not have to change all of the door jams and underhood areas.

Re: What color would you paint?

Flat/Satin black is overplayed. Looks cool in pictures, but in person you'll often overlook them/drive right by cause they don't catch your eye.

I'd do the BMW blue that was on the uber FJ

Re: What color would you paint?

Currently have Sandstorm but would prefer a shade darker (like Quicksand). At night some people have said that they like my white FJ - UGH!

The other color I would choose to paint my FJ is Flat black or Gunmetal. The '13 TT in Cement looks great at night but personally not a fan of the blue undertones shown in the daylight or under lights.

But..... just glad to own the baddest rig on the planet regardless of my picky color preferences.

I'd love to see a flat brown like below......

Whiskey - I like it, I always did, and that is the reason I never use it.

Doc,
That is EXACTLY why I bought mine in Black Diamond. Plus metallic black is cool until my repaint comes through.

For the Voodoo Blue (which was my original color choice), I would look at doing a matte version of it. A good paint shop could help you with the match.

My $0.02 worth.
