Removing roof rack, where to find roof caps?

I want to remove the rack but only found one place that sells the caps to cover the holes left by the rack. They are selling the caps for about $20 a piece, and there are 6 caps Ill need to get. Is there any place that has them for cheaper? Any advice when taking off the rack?
thanks in advance!

Search before doing it, it can be a nightmare with the retainers falling into the headrest.

If you press down to hard on the bolts trying to remove them. The clip that the bolts screw into can drop into the headliner. Will be doing mine soon once I get my ARB

Let us know any lessons learned once you install your new ARB.

Re: Removing roof rack, where to find roof caps?

I just took the top rail off my rack today. The roof rack was originally installed by the dealer and I asked for the caps back. The guy at the dealer warned me they break when removing them, sure enough, I ended up with six caps each missing a clip on one end. Had to use two of them today to cover the two front attach points, but will have to order two more eventually to finish the job right. Right now they are held on by the clip at the back and just a bit of glue under the front edge.

If you have specific questions that have not been answered regarding removing the rack, please PM me.

If I could do it over, I would have got the T40 socket end for a wrench instead of using a screwdriver --also - those screw/bolts are like they are partially welded in - not kidding. Loosen them a couple of turns then put 3-4 drops of Liquid Wrench, let them soak in for a half hour, then continue.
