Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Headlights

I resently install the new bulbs in both the FJ & TUNDRA,what a huge differance! $27.00 per pair ,9003st,at ADVANCEDAUTO PARTS.The wife was always complaining she could not see well at night, where we live.NO street lights lots of wood/farm area's.The lighting is much more crisp ,easy on the eyes after driving long distances. They are as close to HID as you can get in a replacement bulb as you can get with out cooking you wiring!

Huge improvement that doesn't empty the wallet. Well worth it.

Re: Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Headlights

I think I saw them for 50 bucks at Autozone. Much of an improvement over regular Silver Stars?

Sun fusion with them and blue rockblockers. Absolutely worth every penny. They light up the streets and seem to be "wide" as well on brights.

Re: Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Headlights

I had the regular Silverstars in my Turbo MR2. They only lasted about 8 months, then would keep burning out. I went through 3 sets, then gave up.
How long have these ones been holding up? Guess not many people have had their truck longer than 8 months.

Re: Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Headlights

What is the life of these replacement bulbs? I've seen 10 commercials about the wide angle etc... And does running DRLs reduce the life of the bulb? Feedback and prior usage, any one...any one...

Re: Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Headlights

I have bought many sets of the old Silverstars on quite a few cars over the last few years, none of them has burned out yet.

I have the old Silverstars on my FJ and noticed the difference comparing to stock bulbs. But has anyone changed from the old Silverstars to the new Silverstar Ultras?

Re: Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Headlights

I had Silvers on a '00 Jetta for two years with no burnouts. Had Silvers on a '02 Jetta for a year. Previously had Silvers on pickup trucks and more for the last 8 years with not one burnout.
