Nerf Bars/side steps

Ok! I know I've been here before but after taking a nice fall and messing up my back, I've decided its time to get the steps.
Problem is I don't know who makes good stuff. I need help here guys.
I'm 5'2 so getting out is very difficult in the winter. I just don't know where to start.
PLEASE HELP!!! I don't want to fall in the snow and ice again

Boots:

I was impressed with the N-FAb Nerf Bars. My husband bought me a set, and mounted them up; he got them from

http://www.performanceproducts4trucks.com/

They took a while to arrive, cost ~ $300 with the FJ Forum discount, and I've been quite pleased with them.

But Billy, the OEM boards are PLASTIC. Once I saw that, it was no deal.

Re: Nerf Bars/side steps

Really happy with my Trail Gear sliders, they actually stick out a little further than the OEM running boards. They make a great step as well as a great slider. $300.00 includes shipping. They come with all bolts and mached up perfectly.

Re: Nerf Bars/side steps

Demellos are easily used as a step also (even when the door are closed), and they protect you from rocks, it's a nice setup.

I also have these, had them since April. I love them, no complaints, I'm 5'5, great for reaching the roof. They bolt to the chasis, not the frame. They are not for rock protection.

Re: Nerf Bars/side steps

I'd go with a functional rock slider. Many of them (already mentioned above) stick out a nice way and can be used as a step. However, if you need something that offers a lower step (sliders offer a step thats just a bit lower than the door sill) then the predator bars look nice. Only problem with those is that if you do hit them on something, you could potentially damage the body of the FJ (they are mounted to the body...not the frame like sliders)

True Sandi,
I guess thats why I'm in the market for some sliders... My RB aka pontoons have been beat up a little...

But hell, if I know that I'm only gonna do paved surfaces, "green" trails and keep my FJ away from rocks... I'd rock them runner boards. IMO They look nice. They are a nice height. (my GF is 4'11") and they can take a beating. Oh and you can use them as pontoons.

Without runnerboards (sorry snoutdog)

With runner boards
