If I do decide to go with a bull bar instead of a grill guard, which brand do you think is the best value, quality, etc? Any comments or opinions would be grealty appreciated!

Westin! If you only want the bull bar. After shopping all brands for my sons taucoma, westin is the only one found that actually bolts right up with out any mod or being just a pain.
Now I've looked at all 3 bull bars, Manik, Westin, Aries, they all look the same. Looking at costs, I've found the Westin $269, Manik at $315 and the Aries at $215, these were powder coated. Manik & Westin offer a special bracket to attach the front plate vs drilling the bumper. I found another company Steelcraft, a few vendors are selling their products, the look like they do the fab work for other companies. Steelcraft - Toyota FJ Cruiser Accessories I find the shape of the aries to be a bit narrow vs the others.
Ok, more info Westin Install Directions, it apprears to get you keep the factory skid plate.
