Gobi Promotion

This might be old news, but I called Gobi with a question today and the very nice person who answered the phone told me about a special they have going for the next few weeks.

Stealth rack + ladder + 2 driving lights wired and ready to go for $1849 shipped.

Considering just the rack is $1,499 with $199 in shipping, that seems like a pretty good deal.

Re: Gobi Promotion

Just make sure that you ask them to include the mounting brackets for the lights. I know a couple of other forum members (as well as myself) that ordered from Gobi and they forgot to pack the brackets.

Re: Gobi Promotion

I'm very interested in this deal. I wonder if the driving lights are the PIAA 1500? I've sent off an email to get more information and hopefully place an order in the near future.

That really has my attention - did they say how long the promotion was going to last? Just curious, I could call them, but sometimes it is easier to ask.

Don't recall, but it seemed like several weeks.

Re: Gobi Promotion

Here's the response I got back from Gobi:
Quote:
our current promotion is;

1 Gobi Stealth Rack
1 Gobi Ladder
1 Freight lower 48 States
2 Sets (4 lights) Delta front driving lights

Total package price $1,849.00

Please contact Ivy at 720/479-9372 for this promotional package.

Thank you,
GOBI RACKS USA
I'll probably hold off buying from Gobi and get the rack from Trail Duty. They have the rack w/ ladder for $1599 shipped. I'd rather get the PIAA 1500XT (driving/fog) front and PIAA 1500 Rear lights.

Re: Gobi Promotion

Now that is a good piece of info. Any idea on the cost of the Pias? I might just to sans lights for a while.

Re: Gobi Promotion

They did contact me back and told me that if you want the two sets of PIAAs in the front (1500xt) then just add $175 to the price. Otherwise if you don't want any lights you can subtract $200 from the price.

Since Gobi is a supporting vendor here do you think I should ask them if they're interested in doing a group buy?

I talked to Ivy and she said the promotion is just till the end of February. Just in case you are interested.
