Scratch removal techniques?

What are the methods you use, such as from minor branches or what looks like could even be from a key? It's not deep though, just enormously annoying seeing how my rig's brand new. Thanks in advance!

Re: Scratch removal techniques?

For light "pin striping" I use Mequiar's Ultimate Compound, Color & Clarity Restorer (liquid) and have been very pleased with it.

For deeper scratches, I use Quixx Repair System Paint Scratch Remover. It works very well when the scratch goes deep into the clear coat.

Hope this helps!

Re: Scratch removal techniques?

Honestly, I just didn't care about mine. I was to the point where both sides of my truck looked like someone took a hard tined rake down them. But then, a Toyota dealer totally screwed up some recall work and in return, they paid for my truck to go to a pro detailer. They got all but 4 or 5 scratches out of the paint. No luck on the plastic though. So, I would suggest paying a detailer $100 or so for minor scratches. No, I'm not rich and yes I usually do all my own work. I just hate washing my truck and it's worth $100 to me to pay a pro to do it if they buff and detail it.
