Okay, I give, why the fishing line?
That's how you debadge.

Edit: Doh, dragon already explained it.

Okay Dragon. Put the PAINT CAN DOWN, step away slowly...hands up. Walk forward, place the Visa card down on the ground, place your hands behind your head....

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say, can be used against you in a court of bankruptcy law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, the court will appoint one in your behalf, and charge your Visa.

Re: What I did to the Toyota Emblem

Intead of fishing line try flat dental floss, wax stops it from scratching and its easier to slip behind the badge. ;-)

Ya, dental tape works pretty good. Floss (some brands) will just break. Lots of BMW owners debadge (the ones that buy the small engines LOL!) I never understood it personally. (shrugs)

Wouldn't mind debadging the FJ Toyota badge though, its a dirt catcher!

Re: What I did to the Toyota Emblem

I left "FJ CRUISER" on the right hand side of my truck but I took off the Toyota stuff on the left. Looks cleeeeeeeeeean. I used fishing line with the help of a little WD40 to soften up the glue.

Re: What I did to the Toyota Emblem

I have been removing badges from my vehicles for years, they just look cleaner without them. I use cleaners found at the autoo store that are citrus based. Just spray it above the badge, llet it sie a while, then the dental floss takes it right off and a rag wipes it clean. The flat dental floss is a great idea, thanks.
