Paint recommendation.

What's the best rattle can that can be applied to bare metal? I have been told that Hammerite was the top choice, but it's so hard to find now a days. I remember that primer wasn't necessary for Hammerite.
How's Rustoleum? does it need to be primered first? Thanks.

Re: Paint recommendation.

What is the application? I may not have an answer for you but someone will need to know to answer the question.
