Point me in the right direction! please
I've decided that I would like all the silver parts on my bumpers painted black to match the existing finish. I've searched some threads and am pretty confident i'll have no problems with the front end caps.
What I'm concerned about is the silver center peice towards the bottom of the front bumper. (Is there a way to remove this withouth taking the whole bumper off?)
I'm also curious about how to tackle the rear bumper. Now the only threads i've come across show the entire rear bumper removed to get to the bumper end caps. Is this neccessary?
So in short, I would like to remove everything silver from the front and rear bumpers without having to completely remove both bumpers.
So now that your all clear about my intentions, Is what i'm proposing possible or when others have painted theirs did they just mask it off and rattle can it?
Shed some light please.

LOL!........Ya Drunk Drivin Nick Nolte knucklehead.
I did not remove those parts at all to paint them. I just held a piece of carboard up over the place I did not wish to paint and followed the same path as the rattle can.

You are a brave man Bill. I would surely be afraid of overspray. But I may attempt it.
Have you had any problems with the spray paint not adhereing to the bumper wings? What type of paint did you use?

You are truly a bold man with that can in your hand.
Wow... the rhymes in that sentence just blew my mind.
The wings are easy. Reach under the bumper and remove the mud catcher from each side (I think 3 screws each) than reach inside with a flat tip and push in the pop out clips and slid out of the retainers. The front bumper piece is a little trickier but, you dont have to take off the entire bumper. There are 4 bolts underneath, and 2 more behind the fascia. The hard part is that the top leading edge pops into the lower part of the grill lattice and you have to gently pry them out. I did both front and back w/o removing them and they turned out great. I highly recommend Dupli-color black bumper paint, I got it at Advanced Auto parts near me but, I am sure all parts stores have it. You can not tell the difference between the factory finish and mine.
