I will be painting the roof on my silver FJ tomorrow....$1350 quote or $1700 to also paint the rear plastic black crap that makes it look "elemental"...pics to follow...

Just remember when you paint or customize you possibly have narrowed your resale value. I would be very careful about painting or excessive modifications especially on any new model vehicle. What your personal tastes are may not be the same as those in the after market. If your keeping the vehicle forever than I say party on. For what its worth.

Look at the black FJ on the testing grounds in Japan. It looks hideous with just the solid color. The more you look at your FJ the more you accept the paint scheme and bush proof plastic. After you get used to it, then you think about if it was one color then go yuck. I know alot of things i can do with 1700 bux to my FJ other than paint it. cougharbcough
