ARB 1/2 Rack Picture

Ok, so I ordered an ARB 1/2 rack from the link provided in the roof rack comparison post...thanks everyone!

Cost was around $720 (which includes $195 shipping) and I cannot complain. Dealers in my area want around $1200 for the stock rack which for what I need is useless and I don't really like the way it looks to begin with. I bought my FJ without a rack and always wanted to go after market. My choices were Gobi and ARB. Because of cost and design I went with the ARB. I'm eventually going to install the ARB front bumper so it will compliment nicely.

Installation was very easy, pretty much 16 bolts and I was done! The side rails fit perfect and install easily. The top rack was easy to move and bolted up without any issues.

I do like the fact that my FJ is now a little different than all the others.

looks good. show more pics if you can. There's another silver one on here with a lot of detailed pics.......I think the rack looks great. My only concern is the front of the roof looking a bit "naked" in person

Here you go sir! actually, IMO the half works well, it transitions nicely due to the front design of the rack...hopefully these pictures will help!

I'm looking at this rack also. Did you have to remove the headliner inside or does the rack bolt directly from the top?

Only the cover plates...aside from that everything bolts right up. They provide a rubber spacer in the kit.

Also, I just drove it around for a bit and there's NO highway noise at all from the rack. I turned off the radio, rolled up the windows...completely quiet.

From what I hear the stock rack makes some noise???
