Console Cover Mod - And yes, I have pics!

Hi all:

So, my FIL did come up this weekend, and he brought the prototype. He installed it on my FJC, and said I could post some limited pics.

Notes:

1) The plastic doesn't match exactly, but I preferred the rougher grain to another option of too-smooth plastic - I liked the "tougher" look.

2) No drilling required for installation.

3) He was unclear what color to make the "lip" - I asked for silver-toned. It can be changed.

4) The sliding tambour door design does NOT interfere with the driver or passenger armrest.

Without further ado...

finally sandi!

looks cool, like a bread basket type window. personally i'd want something elevated and deep -- similar to the ones in the taco's. mainly to hold more stuff and use as an arm rest.

Very cool! I would definitely be interested in purchasing something like this. My dog keeps falling into the console when trying to jump from front to back! I know, I know, the trials of a rough life.

Yeah, well. *I* wanted something that didn't interfere with the armrests. And he's MY father-in-law.

Since the hard part is the angle where the cover intersects/matches up with the angled top of the factory console, (and he's already done that fitting) he may be able to make something deeper in the future.

Looks nice! I was hoping for something elevated & deeper as well as a lock but this will do. Keep us updated, thx!
