Gobi Stealth and Cargo Box

I've done a search but can't figure out if anyone has sucessfully mounted a hard cargo box (e.g. Thule, Yakima, Sears, etc.) onto a Gobi Stealth.

I'd like to put something weather-proof and lockable up there to hold my shotguns and other hunting equipment. My Labs will be in the back of the FJ.

Re: Gobi Stealth and Cargo Box

I have found the Yakima round tube attachments work great with my Gobi Stealth.
I'm guessing that the distance between the existing cross members is too far for what you've found?

I am thinking about adding a pair of 58" round bars using the low rider max, since I have a boat loader attachment. Helps the wife load kayaks on the FJ.

Might be an option to get the right span on your Gobi Stealth.

Thanks for info. The distance between the Stealth cross members is 35.5". According to the Yakima web site, that should actually be OK for the current SpaceCadet which seems to have sliding clamps to engage the cross members. However, I can't tell whether the front of the box will hit the front bar of the Stealth and/or my lights mounted up there.
