Arrow What's The Biggest Tire Without Lift Kit?

I Need To Know What's The Largest Tire I Can Use In My Fj Without Lifting , Mine Is A 4x4 A/t.
I Don,t Want To Touch The Suspension, Just Need A More Agressive Look With Wider Tires But Don,t Want The Front Tires To Rub Inside The Fenders When Steering.
Please Help, I Have The Money But Don,t Want To Buy Somethig That Won,t Fit....

It would appear from the various reports to date that you can get by with 285/70/17's without having any major problems. Anything larger and you're probably asking for trouble.

Re: What's The Biggest Tire Without Lift Kit?

This issue is killing me. Some people say they have rubbing, some say they don't rub. Then, some say it's good on the street - but what about off road? I think I'll wear out a new set of 265 Goodyear MTs. By that time, a few people should have perfected a good 3" lift and I can go up to 285s.
