Lighting

Ok 2 quick questions... I picked up my beast last night and dammmm I am happy. Black CQ, MT6, Alloys, Arm Rest and TRD Exhaust.

I went to Tirerack and orderd my PIAA Ultra White bulbs to replace standard look. Also wanted to change out the center console lighting from amber to white to match the dash. Has anyone done this yet or have an idea the best way to go about it?

Re: Lighting

Picked up the PIAA Extreme WHite Plus H4. Blue tint, there is one higher, with more of a purple look but didnt want purple on my FJ. They are 4k at 55w, produce like 110. They look sweeeeet. Want to change the side view mirrors next, just need to find out which bulb type it is and locate a similar one.

Hmmmm- interesting idea about the mirrors- I wonder if there is enough room in there for a rechargable battery and a relay. Please post pictures if you take it apart. Thanks.

Congratulations on your new truck, I was actually reading the manual one night and they have instructions on changing the radio control colors, I will dig around and find it and post.

Re: Lighting

Changing the radio lights is easy and allows you to have a different color face for each function, with a different color for FM1, FM2, AM, CD, MP3 and Aux. You can tell by color which function is playing.

Re: Lighting

The H4's fit the FJ Cruiser. The twin pack part numbers are 13903 for the Star Whites, and 15224 for the Xtreme whites. Checkout amazon.com, they have the Xtreme's for $62.49, plus $5 std shipping.

Re: Lighting

Trust me it's worth the 62 dollars. The look of pure white at night is much better.
