But...what is this channel for? I wanted to run the seatbelt through it or use it somehow but couldn't figure out how to use it with the seatbelt. I see that everyone else ran the belts the same way but wonder why WO would bother and/or take the time to sew this channel into the set and not have it used for something. Any ideas?
If you look at the seat itself it has the same pocket. I believe it is for "stowing" the seat belt receptacle, or whatever you want to call it, when you fold the seat down, just like you would tuck them into the crevice on the driver's side. At least I think that's what the manual said that pocket is for, but I can't seem to find my manual right now.

While it's still fresh in my head, for anyone in the group buy who hasn't installed their covers yet, and anyone who may find this thread in the future, here's a few things I learned.

- Many have said just to loosen the four seat bolts, I removed all the bolts on the drivers side and this really helped. However, it was a pain trying to recenter the seat over the four holes. That's when I discovered that there are two pegs at the front of the seat, on each side, that have to be placed in corresponding holes to get the seat aligned properly for re-bolting. Getting these pegs to go back in was a pain in the ass.

- On the passengers side I removed the two back bolts and just loosened the two front bolts. This worked much better because I was still able to lean the seat forward, in order to get the straps strapped, but I didn't have to deal with realigning the pegs.

- There are leather flaps on the back of the front factory seats that are held in place with small black bungee straps. The straps go under the seat and are hooked to two cheap plastic white hooks. You'll need to unhook the bungee cords from these hooks, and fold the leather flap onto the back of the seat under the seat cover, in order to velcro the seat back together.

- Neoprene is very flexible and stretchy. That tiny looking hole will fit over the armrests without removing them. It just takes patience and persistence.

- The armrest covers should be pulled on from the top of the fabric smoothing the neoprene as you go. Don't pull it by the hole that goes around the back of the armrest. Thats the weak point and could tear.

- Do not pull the front seat cover down over the seats by the flap, on the back of the seat cover, with the black "S" hooks on it. It will rip, I repeat it will rip!

- In order to install the larger portion of the rear seat cover you will need to unbolt the center seat belt. This makes me wonder why they bothered with the large velcro flap on the middle back of the larger rear seat cover. I originally thought this was done so that you wouldn't have to unbolt the middle belt. Now it seems to be just an eye sore and is a pain to line up. (I'm talking about the large crease on the right hand side of my last picture.) They should've left it all one piece IMHO.

- You do not need to remove the plastic caps, by the headrest holes, like the W.O. instructions say.

- One person could do this but it really helps to have two. I.E., one to hold the seat up while the other affixes, and tightens, the buckles.

- Do not use "Metrinch" brand sockets you risk round the bolts off.

Hope this helps someone down the road.
Tony these tips were fantastic.
I finished my installation of the seat covers tonight. Took me about 1.5 hrs. What really helped me is my daughter Summer (10 yrs old) came into the garage when I was working on them. She asked me if she could help. She did most of the fastening with her little hands in no time. Only had to unbolt the belts and one rear seat bolt. They look awesome. Pics in the morning.

Re: Getting ready to install my Wet Okole Seat Covers....

So what is the consensus on how to fit the cover around the round knob on the drivers seat? Also, have most people removed the plastic seat trim during the install? It was much easier when I lived in HI right near Wet Okole!

Re: Getting ready to install my Wet Okole Seat Covers....

Just pull it over the knob. If you take your time (only an extra couple of minutes at most) it will stretch enough to simply pull it over the knob. Now, I did take my height adjustment handle off because I was being OCD about wrinkles on the front seats.

I did also pull out the front of the seat trim so that I could tuck the covers under. Again, my perfectionism kicked in about the wrinkles. Just be careful not to break the clips on the trim!

Did you have to remove the plastic seat trim in front to get the wrinkles out?

Re: Getting ready to install my Wet Okole Seat Covers....

I didn't have to remove or loosen anything, and I got them on with only a few bouts of intense swearing. Just pull on stuff and tighten those straps under the seat to remove any wrinkles. I love mine. A must if you have two chocolate labs that love muddy water!
