I left my voodoo blue FJ under a mesquite tree for one night at my in-laws and came out in the morning to see my paint bubbled and flaking off on the hood and the doors from sap from a mesquite tree. Unbelievable. Shouldn't the paint hold up for more than that?
Any possibility that the warranty would cover it? IF not how much for a hood, one door, and one rear quarter panel to be painted?
That sounds like a warranty issure to me. Clean your rig up real good before heading to the dealership and if they give you s*&t about it go to the regional Toyota rep.

My weekend is ruined....
If it was just one night and wasn't left on for days, I'd take it to the dealer for a warranty claim immediately. They might not believe you, but it's worth a shot. If they won't touch it, call Toyota USA and put some heat on the dealer from the top down.

Make sure to clean your rig first...get the sap OFF it and just be like WTF MY paint is coming off! Use a detailing spray since that stuff is MADE to get off bird crap, tree sap and all the rest, OR a clay bar.
Due to the tree huggers of the world...Paint will never be the same...the chemicals that made your '57 coupe look good 30 years later have all been banned....paint will always suck untill some chemist comes up with something better......But Toyota should cover it....good luck
