Interior / Exterior Visual TechThis section contains discussion related to visual modifications of the Toyota FJ Cruiser. Some items might include dash kits, roof rack modifications and other visual modifications.
I am about to install the Toyota Rear View Camera Kit for the FJC and I need to remove the following interior panels and I don't want to break anything since I'm very good at it and wondered if anyone has links to the proper manual pages that explain how to loosen, remove and reinstall the following panels :
"REMOVE OR LOOSEN PASSENGER SIDE TRIM PANELS
INCLUDING: A-PILLAR TRIM, KICK PANEL,GLOVE BOX, AND DOOR
SILL TRIM; B-PILLAR WEATHERSTRIP, AND REAR CARGO PANEL.
REMOVE THE REAR ACCESS PANEL IN THE PASSENGER SIDE
CARGO WALL."
I've checked BrockndBrecca's site but could not find any Interior Panel pages in any of the manuals they had listed on their website.
Much Thanks, DEWFPO

in the rear you only need to remove the top clips. that will allow you to run your wires. for the sills, remove the front door sills, then rear, then kick panel. make sure you remove the dead pedal as well. there is a little nut that you need to remove with your finger to remove the dead pedal. then pull the kick out straight towards the back of the car. the other panels all have clips that pull straight out. to get the glove box out, push in the sides of the box to get it past the catch on the right hand side. pull the shock off of its hook by moving it off to the side. then pull it straight out towards the rear of the car. everything else is straight forward. just gently pull the clips out at the clip, not by pulling on the panel. use a proper trim panel removal tool. it will really help not pulling the plastic tabs off the back of the panel.
