Didn't ask. But BTY, if you order this dude from Harbor Freight, remember to order a bunch of bungy cords. They have them real cheap and you'll need them to secure your load. And yes, I was satisfied with their quality. It was actually better than the one the local tire store had for $200. Didn't have the big brand name on it but it sure works.
I'm trying to import a picture into this message. I'm thinking it's going to come out too small, we'll see. If it does come out, you'll enjoy a pic of my trash. So sit back, relax and look at my trash.

Thanks for the link. That one does look like a good deal. It comes with the side rails. Most of the others I've been looking at are a little longer but come with no side rails, must be purchased as an option. I'm ordering my hitch on Monday. By the way I think the way the FJ hitch is set up is pretty cool with molded body bumper. Looking at other trucks and suvs most of them just hang out.

I just put my hitch receiver on today and picked up one of those black racks at Harbor Tool and Freight ($39.) I haven't even taken it out of the box yet, but I know it'll see a lot of use... just hate to put that stinky stuff inside the FJ. I think it'll be one of those really necessary accessories.

I just ordered my hitch receiver from FJ parts store, the hitch-haul carrier and cargo bag from Bass Pro and most important a HITCH-HAUL Clearance Bar from Cabela's.
The clearance bar will keep the cargo carrier up and away from the exhaust. Give some room for the huge cargo bag so it wont hit the spare tire. Provide height for off-road travel and should allow some more room to open the rear door to let the dog out.
I'll post pics of everything set up on the FJ next week sometime.

I find it is a good use for hauling deer from the hunting ground to the processor. In WI, you need to have the deer's eartag visible--even if in the back of a P/U truck, you have to drop the tailgate so they are visible.
With the FJ, it's either the hood, or place the deer on one of these...
We live in the sticks with no garbage service. The first time I had to take our trash to the collection station after I bought the FJ, this idea was a no brainer. I checked the local supplier and found one at about $200. I then checked Harbor Freight and found this one. It's aluminum, no rust, light weight, and works great for haulin' stuff. I can open the rear door if the carrier is empty or has a very low load. I've used it for the trash, haulin' fuel for the tractor, fire wood, mother-in-law, and whatever else I wanted to carry and not have to put inside due to smell, fumes, or mouth. Good $80 investment in my humble opinion. Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

Do you have to shim as well? Does it fit nice and tight on the 2" receiver? I have the ARB Roof rack and I can always use extra cargo space.
The ARB full rack is still at the top of my list. But I got such great gas mileage on this weekends Mammoth trip. 309 miles and just under a quarter of tank left still.
That is impressive. After 4k miles I have only been able to get 305 to the E. I have the ARB ROOF RACK. Then again that was city/Highway driving. But still 309 under a quarter of a tank is really good.

Thanks,
Yep. If I want it to be perfectly level, I place a small wood shim under the right side of the hitch receiver. There is just enough play in it that the right side (looking from the back) is slightly lower than the left. My trash could care less, it's just lookin' for a ride to the dump station. If you look closely at my picture above, you'll see the right side is slightly lower. I shim it if I'm going somewhere long distance and I'm concerned that it look straight. Otherwise, it's not on the vehicle long enough to worry about. It's all aluminum except for the 2" square piece that slips into the reciever and that's steel. It has been a real asset to me. When not in use I hang it from the ceiling in the garage.
