Interior Cargo D-shackles

Ok so I am getting prepped for the Expo Trophy that is keeping me away from BorregoFest....
And I have way too much gear that must be stowed safety and securely like all good offroaders do...
So I am at Home Depot looking at a way to add more attachment points to my FJC when I see these cool little d-shackles...way neato they will match the ones I use for recovery on the outside.
So here are the steps and you can see pics at
http://blairsite.com/Gallery/Interior-Cargo-D-shackles

1) use 10mm short socket on extension to remove bag holders
2) drill hole in 1 side of narrower bottom section of bag holder
3) THIS IS IMPORTANT ...put the bag holder on before you attach the d-shackle or the bolt won't fit
4) attach d-shackle and the use however you please

I hope this helps someone...
remember the original part is still plastic and won't take a ton of force

Great post, great write up. Nice, easy and cheap mod-the best kind. I see you have a PETT too.
