Body mounts chopped

I got my body mounts chopped today. I was a little nervous to do it myself since I am new to modding. I also was concerned to cut the mounts since I work with my hands. So I spoke to a girl who I work with and she put me in contact with her brother-in-law who works at a metal work shop. He said he would do the chop for me and weld it back so the mount was out of the way. He said it would be clean and professionally done. The cost would be around $160.00. Ponied up the cash and said ok.
So I had him do it today. What do you think?

What it looked like before (Angry Andy's pic):

The guy who did it is an old jeep and suzuki guy. He wheels a lot at the Cliffs in Marsallies, IL and the Badlands in Indiana. All in all it was a great experience dealing with him.

Re: Body mounts chopped

Wish I could have done it myself but I would have done a hack job. I am happy with the results.

Re: Body mounts chopped

There was a lot of wheel rubbing at full turn. If I did not do the chop then I could not have gone up to a larger tire. I have 285/70/17 Firestone Destinations.
