GOBI Roof Rack for the FJ Cruiser

Just received an email from GOBI Racks, USA. They are located out of Denver, Colorado. They posted pictures on their site highlighting thier new rack system for the FJ. Additional accessories include a ladder and a wind faring.

See this link:

http://www.gobitoyota.com/

It appears that they offer two height versions...a low rider (stealth fit) and a high rider (flat fit)....plus various light configurations for the front and rear of the rack....pretty trick!

No, I don't know if it will support a pop-up tent. But it looks much more substantial (storage capacity) than the stock one for people who need to take the kitchen sink with them when they go on safari.

Seems a bit too large to me, I kinda like the stock rack a lil better so far.

Perv3rse,

I'm a compu-tard and can't figure out how to post pictures. Can you also post pictures of the back including the rack itself and ladder system. The stealth version might be a good idea for people with low garage doors.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Re: GOBI Roof Rack for the FJ Cruiser

Perv3rse,

Thanks for posting the pics! I think that the Stealth model is pretty cool looking. It is shaped to conform to the contour of the stock roof line. Definately a cool option. Glad to see companies innovating new ideas for the FJ.

Re: GOBI Roof Rack for the FJ Cruiser

Though most of us do not know much about the Hummer world, these racks are very popular with H2 and H3 owners. The increased weight capacity, superior quality, and fit and finish are what make their product stand apart. Gobi is very committed to the usability of their racks and based on posts I've read on other boards, they stand behind their products.

Probably goes without saying, I'm ordering one.

EDIT: Perv3rse beat me to the punch on the pics.

Not sure on the price, they will have one to hold a tire as well they do an amazing job on these as well. The ones for the hummer are around 1500.00
