I'm working OT at your favorite Asian Leprechaun's station right now. She says hi.
She's always full of mischief!
Tell her I love a woman in uniform.

Actually, modern day weapons take Magazines, Clips came from using the old Mosin Nagants, M1 Garands, etc. These all took “clips” which the ammunition was attached to little brass clips which the rifle was slotted in the upper portion to accept these, then using a pushing motion, you could load the ammunition into the rifles.
I think this is what Dave was refering to.

I was looking at the Fobus holsters for IDPA and USPSA events and I ended up going with a Uncle MIkes paddle. It just seemed built much better than the Fobus and was cheaper to boot.
What's up with that Fobus video, it no longer works.
On another note. DeSantis makes this cool holster and they have always made quality gear:

The mount in the original post wouldn't work too well for me. Much of the time I have the back seats folded for cargo. I went with the DeSantis Kingston seat holster, posted pics of this elsewhere on this forum. Easy access with either hand when seated, and I can transfer to my belt holster w/o people seeing. My joints crack and pop if I try to reach around behind the center console, over a dozen broken bones, and a "de-gloving" so far in my life. Yes the pistol goes with me when I leave the FJ, except for the post office, then the seat holster is out of sight.
Strange state laws are why I didn't stay in WI and MN for long. Here in NM and other states I travel to allow even non CCW holders to carry a handgun most anywhere in a vehicle, even concealed. As far as getting stopped by the law, the states I go to don't require me to inform them that I am caryying except if asked. This will come up if they run my license and the cops I talk to say that if they know I have a valid CCW, well if I'm carrying is a moot point. I have shown that I am not a criminal, not mental, etc. Since I have CCWs valid in any state I go to, there has never been a problem. That and the fact that I haven't been stopped except for a DUI checkpoint in over ten years. Most of the local cops see me at work at times, and many times get a wave as we pass, that can't hurt!

Re: Concealed Handgun Mount
I keep a .38 in the dash in front of the steering wheel. I sometimes put a .45 in the passenger pouch (right seat, back of the seat in the pouch that is supposed to hold magazines? Easy to get to and out of sight. Chance favors the prepared mind.

You had to school them, didn't you?
Yeah, I had to get away from the clip/magazine thing too. Now I watch movies, and they say "My clip is empty!" and I think, "WRONG, its a magazine!"
Kel Tec's first pistol was a fixed-magazine pistol that fed through the top of the ejection port using 9mm (or maybe it was .380) on M16 stripper clips!
