Concealed Handgun Mount

Concealed Handgun Mount

I decided to come up with a better way to carry my Glock 22 in the vehicle. I need to have ready acesess to it, it needed to be out of sight and secure in the vehicle while traveling.

I started looking around at my Black Hawk SERPA holster.

I decided this would be a great secure way of holding the weapon and also have quick access to it in case of an emergency.

I removed the three small screws that attach the holster to the paddle back.

I then went to the hardware store and bought three new longer screws w/ lock washers and over sized washers.

I then drilled three holes in the back of the center consol and attached it there.

Now it’s out of sight, secure and I have access in a second if I need it.

I thought I would pass this on to others that are looking for a solution to CCW in their vehicle. I don’t have children to worry about getting to the weapon inside the vehicle. I hope this helps others that are looking for a solution too.

Is it on your person or stashed away when you are away from your FJ? That screams 'steal me' since it can easily be seen with a flashlight from outside.

Very nice install though - remind me not to piss you off.

Re: Concealed Handgun Mount

In my vehicle you can not see in because of my window tint. I have 5% limo. And because it's at the back behind the console, it would be very hard for someone to it even in the passenger seat.

Why is that concealed?

That would be a nice find for the guy lurking in the backseat. Or does that only happen in the movies?

Re: Concealed Handgun Mount

I like the location you selected but, in Ohio the weapon must be on our person while exercising the rights of CCW.
However, the location you are using would be excellent for the lockbox I use when I leave the weapon unattended in the vehicle.
Thanks for sharing!

To answer your question why is that concealed, it is from the L.E. point of view, they cannot see it when looking through the driver or passenger side windows.

And to answer your second question. Anyone that knows me, knows that I have a weapon at my fingertips at all times.
