Re: Fly rod/fishing pole rack?

I fit a 9 foot jigstick with no problem/bending. If I want to carry more than that I use my grip twist to wrap my rods together with no problem and they are not bending.

Let me explain my system. The rods are tied up together using my grip twist.

1. I tie my beanie that I use for the cold mornings to my rod tips with a rubber band. I do this in case the rods move so the tip wont hit up against the windshield.

2. I remove the center headrest in the back seat. I put rods in between the headrest shafts. I then place the headrest back on and have it snug to decrease bouncing/movement.

3. I place the rods next to the center pod on the dash. Even with my 9 foot stick the rods dont touch the window. The rod butts are against the rear tailgate.

Re: Fly rod/fishing pole rack?

http://kwikcatch.com/ Just saw this in the back of A fly fishing mag, It looks like a pretty good set up that easy to move to whatever vehicle your driving. However I think the FJC windshield is too much of an angle, Im thinking I could use in on the roof or the side of the car If I dont have any passengers
