Rustoleum flat black???

ok guy guys I am going to want to do some mods here shortly(spray paint bumpers, outside lights, so on) and wanted to know what is a better finish for mach the black portion of the bumper.

I have a couple cans of rustoleum flat black that I used to re do my front skid plate(came out awesome thanks Corey!!) and wanted to know if I should just stick with that OR...the rustoleum flat black for Plastic?

is there any real difference or will it just bond better? thanks!!!

I'd go with the Rustoleum for plastic, which is available in both smooth and textered finishes. I did my outside mirrors with the smooth finish. But, back when I still had my stock rear bumper, I used the textured finish on it.

Re: Rustoleum flat black???

I've used the textured before and loved it. It was on a set of sliders that were bare metal upon arrival(poisyn spyder) after prep and a number of coats they looked great!

Re: Rustoleum flat black???

I have Rustoleum flat black on steel, plastic, the alloy rims, and body panels!!!!

It's good stuff, don't worry about it.

Re: Rustoleum flat black???

I did my plastics, people say not to worry, but if I did it again I would definitely go with a primer, flat black, then a no gloss clear coat. atleast imo

Re: Rustoleum flat black???

Oh yea, forgot to mention that - I've always used the Rustoleum primer on everything. Nothing over the flat black, but definiately the primer. No problems on any surface doing that!
