Door Protector / Guard

Do any of you have the door Guard/ Protector installed?

Its a small trim piece that goes along the edge of the door so that when you open the door if you do manage to come in contact with something the edge of the door does not chip.

We have it on our 4runner but not on the FJ and I want to know if there is place to purchase it after market to match the car color.

Re: Door Protector / Guard

I have seen rubberized trim that goes along the outside of the door at Pep Boys. I think it's trim and fit. Might be what you're looking for.

Re: Door Protector / Guard

I bought a "press on" set from Autozone, black in color. With a little bit of trimming they slide right on, tight, neat and looks stock. Very cheap and very easy to replace when and if they get marred. I park right next to a cement block retaining wall, this was the first accessory I put on my FJ.

I have the same and 2 packages will do the front doors and the back door. Cheap and looks stock. Mine are black in color and on a BC they look pretty sharp.

Good find that is what I was looking for but I live in Texas so it seems that they will not sell them to me.

I may give them a call still to see whats up.

My only issue with black is that it would stick out I would prefer if it matched the color of my FJ.

I think they may have authorized dealers in those states. So you may be able to just walk in and buy them.
