Rally map light

I plan to install a rally style map light for the passenger side. Thinking about an avanti or hella hard wired light.

I get sketchy when it comes to electrical stuff so where can I hard wire this into?

All of the other map light installs I have seen on this forum have been overhead or they are not hard wired.

Like dis? Low enough to not be seen outside or blind driver, bright enough and right height to check paperwork, look for spare change, find panties.

I have the Hella 19" rally light mounted on the pass side just to the left of the glove box door at the bottom of the dash. It's a basic two-wire hook-up- black wire to ground, brown wire to 12v positive...you can tap it into the fuse box, or any source that will handle about 1/2 amp current draw (the Hella uses a 6w halogen bulb)...

Re: Rally map light

I like that light. Do tell. You know the old school military flashlights or "nightvision flashlights"? It would be like a white light with the green filter lenses.
