Double M-PAC

Not to be outdone by Shadow-Warrior (or at least try) here's a double M-PAC setup showing that what's good for one of the rear door bays, is doubly good for two of them . If any of you have the lame stock netting / baskets on the rear door, you know how easily stuff falls out the bottom when there's any bouncing. The Springtail M-PAC set up allows you to use this space to mount a metal rack mesh to which can be attached any number of different types of storage bags. The bags Springtail sells have textile loops with press-studs on the bottom that allow easy affixing to the mesh. They come in various sizes for various size "cargoes". Installation is fully covered in this post in the Springtail section of the forum. It's really just a job of popping off the rear door, drilling a few holes and putting a few small bolts in.

Here's a photo of the dual setup and a close-up of one of the mounting bolts:

Re: Double M-PAC

I love the extra storage that provides. i have been sitting around thinking about adding the M-Pac but have not pulled the trigger. I actually think the double looks better then the single install on the rear door.

A nice amount of usable space, and that same satisfaction as having all the switch options filled on the dash (ahh, no blanks)

Re: Double M-PAC

I am working on those switches too. Just have to figure out my first set of PIAA fog lights. Wiring is not my thing... yet.

Re: Double M-PAC

It seems like if somebody wanted to get 'double duty' out of a single M-Pac, they could hang bags from the lowest point on an M-Pac mounted high and still have most of the M-Pac for use with additional bags/ rifle case/ etc.

Re: Double M-PAC

any updates on this as in any wear on the rear door plastic itself? Holes get enlarged over time? whats the weight that door can hold?

Re: Double M-PAC

I run the Toyota net on the bottom and the M-Pac on the top and I would worry about too much weight on the back door depending on the tire and rim combo on the outside. My hinges are already loose with what I have. I love the M-Pac system and I have the side also but I wont be adding any more weight on the rear door. I guess it also depends on what you put in them. Great Product.
