Here is a picture of the panel.

Is there a trick to getting the drivers side trim cover in front of the center panel to tightly match up with the center panel with the push clip? I can't seem to get a tight fit resulting in about a 1/16"+ gap.

Hi Steve! first of all, thanks for sharing this with us. I want to install two OEM light switches on the left side of the steering, how can I reach these vacant switches?
Thanks

FJeddah, you should be able to snake your arm, or a long flathead screwdriver up from the back side, then they just push/pop out.

layonnn, you always come in the right time when doing the wiring job, do I have to remove any thing in that area in order to place the switches correctly and hook up all the wires?
Thanks mate

Nope. There's nothing behind or in front of those switch mounting areas that would interfere with your wiring.
As layonnn mentioned, simply pop out the blanks and feed your wires through from the back side of the dashboard, leaving enough slack to do your connections to the switches out in front of the dashboard. (Having about a foot of extra wiring gives you enough length to crimp on your connectors and eventually attach them to your switch(es).)
Then it's just a matter of sliding the wires and the switch back into the mounting hole until it snaps into place.
Also, be sure to incorporate relays into your wiring set-up if these particular switches are to be used for activating high amperage accessories (i.e., lighting, power modules, high-wattage audio amplifiers, etc.).

X2.
Also, feeding a 2-foot-long piece of thick wire through the switch mounting hole from the front will have the end of that wire conveniently appear at the back of the dashboard panel, where you can attach your primary wires (via some electrical tape). Then pull all your wires back up through the switch hole opening so you can have easy access to them out front.

The pleasure is mine Steve
Thanks for the clarification, however, I would like to know how to do the wiring of the OEM switch (6 pins). The aftermarket switches I got, have only 3 pins and it's 20A (light, power, ground). I wnet through some threads discussing this issue, but I couldn't understand it, as it has 2 ground pins and 2 pins for illumination, which to be connected to the fuse box (I dont know where )
Another question, do you recommend drilling a hole in the roof, or remove the exterior A-Pillar (driver side) and do the wiring from there? (Gobi instructions)
Again, thank you Steve
Omar
